Evil isn’t all that bad at the farm 😺

Chilly weather and an empty stomach make Evil Cat decidedly less people-shy.

More snow overnight 🐴

The ducks do their best to clean up in a bucket.  It’s a shame their pool is frozen.Duck math: 1 cold foot > 2 cold feet.

Nasty snow on slippery sleet on dirty mud 🐴

But at least it’s dry enough to eat outside.

Nasty winter mess 🐴

We are all hiding inside.

Chicken trial 🐓

Rainy Saturday morning 😿

Luigi and Pumpkin catch up on their Christmas card [sic] over breakfast.

Cloudy Christmas 🐦

It’s Christmas time. . .. . .everybody eats.

Equine tribulations 🐎

“It’s humiliating that these KFC rejects get fed before we do."

Muddy Monday 🐴

Just when we thought we were drying out⎯Oh, by the way, Tux says hi.

Cold weather prep 🐔

Whether you’re chicken, duck, or bag of French fries⎯heat lamps keep you warm.

Evil isn’t easy 😾

“It’s a big responsibility living up to the name Evil Cat.””I have to be seen in only the most wicked places.””You must agree, the roosters’ coop looks pretty wicked."

Roosters on the run 🐓

The roosters check out the menu in the feed shed.”It all looks so good, we don’t know where to start!"

Pooter is lord of the manor 🐴

“My house⎯my rules!"

Stormy steals some hay 🐎

“Let’s see here . . . I’ll just use my long neck here and get me some hay before anybody else.””WHAT?"

Warm wet weather 🐴

Sunday was in the 60’s, but such a rainy mess we had our evening hay in the stable.

Ducks without boundaries 🐴

The ducks invade the roosters’ pen:

Rooster in harm’s way 🐓

Henry says, “We cannot be held responsible for the trampling, accidental or otherwise, of this chicken!"

Female chicken troubles 🐓

Minnie has been sitting on the nest a lot, but just can’t seem to lay an egg.  We think she might be egg-bound.So she was given an examination and treatment, which includes a warm, therapeutic bath. We’re sure she enjoyed getting her feathers cleaned. Here she is spending the night in warmth and quiet.I guess you could say she’s in in-hen-sive care!

Dukie fetches the stick 🐴

Here’s the puppy going after a stick:Hunt it up, Dukie!Bring it back to Aunt Annie!Good girl!

Wings and water! 🐴

L’Orange has some wings to show us:

Time for a water quality inspection 😺

EPA Chief Luigi inspects the quality of our water.  What are your findings, Chief?”Potable for equine, avian, and human.  Passable for feline."

Mr. Peepers goes swimming 🐓

Mr. Peepers continually attacks the cat cops’ shoes.  So he was boot-launched into a perfect arc that landed him in the pool. While he was shocked, rest assured that no Mr. Peepers was harmed in the making of this picture.  Isn’t that right, Mr. Peepers?

Dukie visits the farm! 🐴

The chicken apocalypse is upon us 🐴

Even Tux, who can chew up and spit out the most ferocious kitty, thinks twice about getting between a chicken and its lunch:

Frosty morning 🐴

The birds woke up to white grass:Frost was everywhere this morning. . .. . .even on the poopies:

Hansel had to hide 🐓

We showed you last Tuesday how Hansel and Franz were fighting.  Well, the cat cops decided to separate them for the day by leaving Hansel outside.  It turns out the older roosters (Mr. Peepers, Baldy and Mildred) chased Hansel around all day.  In the evening he was found sheltering in the old chicken coop:He wasn’t hurt, but he won’t be left out again:

Changing weather 🐴

Monday morning was sunny:This (Tuesday) morning was a mess:But the ducks seemed to have fun:They even splashed in the pool:

Illegal cockfight! 🐓

Hansel and Franz were given timeouts after it became clear that they weren’t going to knock it off:
